Choosing Girls Rashies – Sun Protection Tips

Beach, sun, sand and heaps of fun! But what about sun protection? Sun protection needn’t be something that is hard to get your young to wear. You need something that is fun, bright and they will be happy wearing. Last thing you need when hitting the sand is a struggle to get them to wear the girls rash vests and even more of a struggle getting them to stand still while applying sun lotion. Hence, if you can cover quite a bit of them up with sun protective clothing, you are ahead. Especially when they are itching to get into the sand and have some fun.

Four things to consider when making a choice in girls rashies Australia and and hopefully this will keep them happy to wear them all day! The 4 things to consider are Style, Colour, Fit and Fabric.

Style is very important as you want to make sure that you choose a style that will give them good sun protection. If you look at something which has got long sleeves and a high neck line, this will help protect most of their torso area. You can also get matching hats which we definitely recommend as it keeps the sun off their face, ears and neck areas. The rest of their exposed skin, you will need to either cover up or use some high SPF sunscreen.

Colour is another consideration especially if they are partial to certain colours. If they love the colour pink, you will most definitely find that they will be more than happy to wear a pink top all day at the beach. Another consideration is that a bright or a different type of pattern is also handy for you too. They will be visible to you and easy to spot especially when they move so fast around the sand.

The fit is important as you want something that is going to fit them properly. A little bit loose is OK as they can grow into it, but you don’t want it where the fabric gapes too much and does not protect properly.

With fabric, look out for a premium 4 way stretch fabric which will move with them. Especially if they are in and out of the water, you don’t want to top to sag as this will only annoy them and it can get harder to ensure they keep it on. The fabric should also be lightweight and comfortable so really, they forget that it is there. Look for a top with a high UPF rating as the higher the UPF, the more of the sun’s rays it will filter out. For example a UPF 50+ will filter out up to 98% of the harmful rays to keep them safe and sun protected whilst enjoying life at the beach!
